Dr. Randy Short is also a Reciprocal Pan-Africanist, which means that he believes in the interconnectedness of all people of African descent.

Deacon Willie Davis, a long-time Paterson resident and native of North Carolina, founded Green Acre Community Garden in 2015. Located at the corner of Rosa Parks Blvd and 12th Avenue in the 4th ward of Paterson, New Jersey, Green Acre was created with the mission of growing culturally relevant food for the local community. Deacon Davis, who comes from a family of sharecroppers, has over 60 years of farming experience in both rural and urban settings. Under his leadership, Green Acre has transformed from an underutilized lot into a vibrant green space that produces life-giving food.
